Availability
The pavilion and picnic area are available for groups of up to 100 people from April 1st to October 31st. Reservations for the current year are accepted beginning January 1st. (Please see Picnic Guidelines below.)
Due to its mission statement and tax exempt status, Roslyn cannot rent space for private functions such as family reunions and wedding receptions.
Scheduling
Picnics for the current year may be scheduled from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Please contact Roslyn at 804-288-6045 (toll-free at 800-477-6296) or info@roslyncenter.org to make a reservation.
Facilities
The Picnic Pavilion (approx 40 x 60 feet)
The picnic pavilion seats up to 100 people comfortably. Amenities include tables and chairs, a refrigerator with freezer, a large refrigerated cooler, two single grills, one double grill, restrooms (plus one accessible restroom), a soft drink machine, and a fireplace.
Picnic Activities
Outdoor recreation facilities near the pavilion include a horseshoe pit, sand volleyball court and short walking trails through the woods. Some groups may wish to worship in the Bishop's Chapel (by appointment only) or at the stone altar and benches on the hill overlooking the pavilion.

Picnic Guidelines
- Alcohol is not permitted at Roslyn Picnics.
- Groups may bring and prepare their own food items using the Pavilion facilities but catering companies are not permitted to cook or serve food items on Roslyn's grounds as Roslyn offers full-service catering picnic catering form (Publisher)).
- Loud music is not permitted at Roslyn picnics as it may be disruptive to other conference and meeting participants and nearby residents.
- As we often have conference groups in residence while picnic groups are in progress, we ask that you avoid Tucker Hall, and the other conference center buildings and their adjacent areas.
- Groups are responsible for their own clean-up. Containers for refuse and garbage are provided in the pavilion and dumpsters are located nearby.
- Please park only in parking lots. Overflow parking is available in the lower pavilion field. Please do not park on any other grassy area except that in the lower pavilion field.
- For health and safety purposes, no pets (except for service dogs) are allowed on Roslyn grounds at any time.
